Cape Verde business 'granted $1.8m boost' Cape Verde's business sector is about to receive a financial boost from the Climate Facility for Africa, it has been reported. Business conditions in Cape Verde may be set to improve, as the sector has been allocated a monetary shot in the arm, it has been reported. The Investment Climate Facility for Africa has reached an agreement with the Cape Verde government and has offered US$1.8 million (£1 million) in funding for the improvement of its business sector, Macauhub quotes local agency Inforpress as relating. Overall, the bulk of the money will go to projects working to improve conditions among businesses in Cape Verde, including their employees, the news provider informs. These plans form part of a larger initiative introduced to improve social and economic operations within the country and to make Cape Verde more attractive to investors. Director of the Cape Verde Investment Agency Carlos Rocha, who was speaking earlier this week, is quoted by Macauhub as saying that Cape Verde needs to be more active in pursuing foreign investors.
