Air Portugal 'to introduce flights to Cape Verde'
It may be easier for those who own Cape Verde property to fly to and from Lisbon as of this August, it has been announced.
Regular flights between Cape Verde and Portugal are set to become a permanent fixture for those who own Cape Verde property, it has been revealed.
Air Portugal has announced that it will begin operating flights from Lisbon to Cape Verde as soon as the region's new airport is certified and ready to receive nighttime flights.
Luis Garcia, a delegate for the airline who was speaking in Praia yesterday, also revealed that the flights could be taking off from the new Sao Pedro Airport as soon as August.
Up to 14 flights weekly may be scheduled as of this summer, with four leaving from the island of Santiago, as well as one a day from Sal, reports MacauHub.
The opening of Sao Pedro will bring Cape Verde's airport count up to four and will no doubt be convenient for those who own, or are thinking of buying, Cape Verde luxury townhouses and villas.
Air Portugal currently operates flights from London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Stockholm.
