Visiting Cape Verde - FAQs

Cape Verde Climate

The climate is extremely benign for tourists with average temperatures throughout the year between 24 and 27 degrees. Despite being closer the equator, recorded highs are more pleasant than the Canaries due to Cape Verde's maritime climate. Rainfall is concentrated to three months between mid-July and mid-October. There are on average 21 wet days in Praia per year. This compares with 46 wet days in Las Palmas , Canaries, with rainfall in all months bar June, July and August. It is a dry heat so humidity is low apart from the rainy season.
