To open a bank account on Santiago with BCA (Banco Comercial do Atlantico) you will need the following:
- Provide Identification : Copy of your passport
- An initial deposit/ transfer of at least €100
(foreign currency can be transferred directly once the account is opened)
Personal / small business
The procedure is the same if you are an individual or a small business.
Step by step guide to open a Bank Account with Banco Comercial do Atlantico
Step 1: Applying for an account

- Attach a copy of your passport
- Scan the documents and E mail your forms to Guilhermina de Pina at gpina@bca.cv
Step 2: Transferring your initial deposit
- You will receive an email after the account is opened, providing details of the bank account and the account numbers for you to be able to transfer your initial deposit. This will include the following:
- Bank Account #
- IBAN #
- Bank Swift code (BCATCVCV)
- Correspondent Bank Swift code (CGDIPTPL)
- Transfer a minimum deposit of €100 to your new account.
Step 3: Provide Sambala with details of your account
- You must provide details of you bank account to Sambala if you are entering into a rental scheme (Rental guarantee / Standard Rental Offer) so money can be paid from rental receipts
